Pushpa Sharma was born on 27 December 1983 at Jalandhar, Punjab, India. She has completed her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in the year 2004 from B.D. Arya Girls College, Jalandhar under Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, India. She has completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application in the year 2005 from Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar City affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab India. She has completed her Master’s of Science (Computer Science) in the year 2007 from Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar City Affiliated with Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Punjab, India. She has completed her Masters of Philosophy (Computer Science) in the year 2013 from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, India. She has also taken three month training in Java and Android in the year 2015 from Iniz Solutions, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. Presently, she is pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Computer Science as full time research scholar from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, India. The broad Area of her research is e-Health.
She worked as an Assistant Professor in Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, Punjab, India from 2007 to 2013. During this period, she has obtained specialization in programming languages (such as C and C++), HTML, Management Information Systems, Operating Systems, e-commerce and Ms Office. She has also worked as Part time Lecturer (Visiting Faculty) in Guru Nanak Dev University, Regional Campus, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. In this period, she has taught Object Oriented Analysis & Design, Fundamentals of programming and Operating Systems to the students of B.Tech. During her M.Phil (Computer Science), she has also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the period of Jan 2014-Apr 2014 in School of Computer Application, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, India. She has also worked as a Teaching Assistant from Apr 2016 to Jul 2016 in School of Computer Application, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, India. In this duration, she has taken classes of programming languages(C and C++) and Raptor.
Pushpa Sharma has been contributing to academic and research through writing research papers in the area of mobile communication, digital acquisition, Virtual Universities and ehealth. She has developed and published a mobile application for digital acquisition. This Application is available on Google Play Store. Three papers of her accepted in refereed journals/digital library for publication and two of them are in press. She has also attended different workshops and international conferences in the areas of Computer Science and Technology.
She has received three scholarships in the year 2002 and 2016 from different departments/societies of India. In 2002, she has received one scholarship from Manav Sahyog Society and one from Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya (HMV). In 2016, she has received national level DSBFC Technical Scholarship from Indian Railway Department.
