Grameen Solutions

The organization: Grameen Solutions (GS) is the flagship technology company of the Grameen Family of Companies, founded by Professor Muhammad Yunus, the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner. GS has four focus areas: Solutions and Technologies to End Poverty (STEP), Solutions and Technologies for Emerging Markets (STEM), Software and Web Solutions (SWS), and general offshore outsourcing, including Offshore Development Center services.

The relationship: Working together over the last two years, our partnership is focused on building local capacity in Bangladesh around mobile and SMS-based applications, contributing to the design of scenarios and concepts from the field in Bangladesh, and providing development resources for mobile education, InSTEDD’s Mesh4x, and other projects.
