Grameen Foundation

The organization: Grameen Foundation helps the word’s poorest, especially women, improve their lives and escape poverty by providing them with access to small loans, essential information, and income-generatng opportunities. Through two of the most effective tools known — microfinance and mobile phone-bases technology — Grameen Foundation works to make a real difference in the lives of those who have been left behind.

The relationship: We are collaborating with the Grameen Foundation to create, deploy and scale mHealth technologies in order to improve the lives of the world’s poorest. We are helping the Grameen Foundation to extend their existing technology platform, MoTECH, to include many additional capabilities such as scalable voice based applications and reminder systems that support public health.
