About the Author: Dr. John B. Niwagaba is a medical Doctor, a graduate of Bachelor of Medicine and bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) from Makerere University, with 8 years clinical experience. He worked as the Africa Regional Manager for the International Diabetes Federation, coordinating more than 30 country associations in Sub Saharan Africa. He has published peer reviewed articles in renowned Journals like Diabetes Voice, and for the last 3 years has authored the question-answer column in The Observer called “Doctor Next Door” with more than 100 published articles mainly on Reproductive Health.

He is currently serving as an InSTEDD global ambassador, a program supported by the iLab SEA and Skoll Global Threats Fund.
