SUMMARY

InSTEDD began working with the Silicon Valley based diagnostic manufacturer, Cepheid, in November 2011, to design and create a solution to improve real-time disease surveillance with a connectivity solution for its diagnostics devices. With the development in its GeneXpert Device Series, Cepheid, working with InSTEDD and partner FIND Diagnostics, created a connected device with a controlled, secure, and reliable telemetry method, able to aggregate, display, and distribute real-time diagnostic information. Cepheid connected devices are now being deployed worldwide, providing insights into device usage and performance and monitoring disease and resistance to treatment in near real time.
