We’re excited to share with you some new Verboice resources!

Verboice, for those unfamiliar with the platform, is InSTEDD’s voice-based tool which enables users to develop interactive and automated mobile applications such as hotlines, alerts, reminders, surveys, voice reports, or quizzes.

Over the past 3 years, the tool has been used in a variety of contexts to help disseminate and gather critical information.

To showcase some of the various ways the tool has been used, we’ve put together a series of case studies.

Organisations featured include:

  • International Labour Organisation, which runs an interactive information hotline for factory workers;
  • Marie Stopes International, which uses automated messages as part of its post-abortion counselling approach;
  • People In Need, which uses automated messages to provides new parents with critical advice as well as runs an early warning system enabling Cambodian authorities to quickly inform citizens in cases of upcoming disasters;
  • BBC Media Action, and more.

The case studies are available for download on our website:

Please help spread the word to those in your circle looking to leverage innovative technologies for social good.
