Channe joined the Innovation Lab in Southeast Asia as Product Manager in August 2008. Her primary focus is to capture user requirements for all aspects that affect the quality of products. In addition, she also does software usability design and testing as well as provides on-going support to the clients/partners.
Throughout the years with InSTEDD she has worked closely with Cambodia Communicable Disease Control at the national level down to the rural health center level in order to strengthen group communication by using InSTEDD’s technology. She has also worked with NCHADs (National Center for HIV/AIDs, Dermatology and STD) to develop a SMS Appointment Reminder System as an extension to their current Patient Information System. Channe has over five years of working experience in software development, systems design, coding, testing, training facilitation and customer support in ICT companies and NGOs. In the past, Channe has worked on open source web-based applications, but started working on mobile applications when she joined InSTEDD.
Channe is a volunteer in the Cambodian IT community, helping organize events for IT people to share information and learn from each other. She graduated with a Masters Degree in Computer Application from Bangalore University, India in 2006. In addition, Channe was invited to speak on the topic of Building the Future Cambodia Starts with Sharing at TEDxPhnomPenh.
