Andy Leventhal

Andy Leventhal has had over 20 years of software experience in storage, data security, open source Linux, and cleantech (energy efficiency, carbon and enterprise sustainability), with a repeated record of identifying transformational opportunities, emerging markets, deploying successful go-to-market strategies and raising capital. As an early employee at EMC, VeriSign, Red Hat and Imperva, Andy has been a driver in the development of many companies, product launches, ecosystem development, pricing, team recruiting and scaling channels in over a dozen markets around the world. Andy has held individual and management roles in sales, business development, strategic alliances, domestic and international channels throughout the US, Japan, APAC and the EU. 

In 2007, Andy founded and was CEO of Planet Metrics, the leader in carbon and energy analytics for the supply chain. After raising VC and Angel funding, he engineered the sale of the company to Parametric Technology in Jan 2010.

Most recently, Andy was CEO of Recurve, the leader in residential energy efficiency software and services. After taking over Recurve in 2010, he successfully repositioned its product offerings and in February 2012 completed the sale of the company to Tendril, a Boulder-based smart grid software and services company.

When Andy isn’t spending time with his wife and 2 teenagers, he is an avid basketball player, Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoys time at the family cabin. Andy is an executive advisor to Geli (Energy Storage), InSTEDD (health, safety and development non profit), Kiwi (solar tools & services), Watersmart (water analytics) and PassBan (mobile security).
